Meet the Artists
Joshua DeMoss
Composer
My older brother taught me how to read music at a young age, and from that point till now, I've chased various opportunities to develop my musical talents and learn new skills. My interest in composition started when I discovered music production software in middle school. I fell in love with putting musical ideas into a computer and having them play back to me. I ended up going to college for music, where I took advantage of having access to a professional music studio. Then when I graduated, I invested money in building my own home studio to continue creating music I love.
Today, I make music from my home studio in the Chicago metropolitan area as much as I can, and I enjoy being active, traveling, testing my limits, and eating excellent food in my free time. For The Salvation Series, I composed the music, wrote the poems, and created the written narrative that guides the listener through the series. While I enjoy my work as a software engineer, I plan to one day make music that inspires and excites people full-time.
Andrea Jacobsen
Fine Artist & Writer
It all starts with a good story. That’s what I learned in my six years of sales and consulting in the corporate world before starting my professional career as a fine artist in August 2021. I fell in love with the power of storytelling, so that’s exactly what I do today! Granted, my stories now include a lot more paint than before.
My name is Andrea, and I’m a fine artist living outside Nashville, TN, with my husband and pup. My work combines painting and words, both long-form and poetry, to create beautiful stories for the eyes and the soul. For The Salvation Series collaboration, I contributed the artwork, an abstract painting inspired by the composed music and writings by Joshua DeMoss.
A couple of other things to know about me; humor and good wine are must-haves. Good wine may be a stretch, but I like to feel fancy.
